Honda Motors marked a significant milestone during Monterey Car Week in August 2026. The distinguished brand celebrated more than seven decades of motorsports heritage across both two-wheel and four-wheel disciplines. Honda's presence featured the debut of its Heritage Program, a showcase of over 20 historic machines, and live track demonstrations across multiple venues.

 

Honda is known for its commitment to innovation and engineering. Now, the company is celebrating 50 years of research and development in the U.S. This anniversary highlights five decades of progress in areas like aviation, power equipment, aerospace, and powersports, as well as its core automotive business.

 
Honda's roots stretch back to the late 1940s. It is named after co-founder Soichiro Honda, a man who grew up in poverty but was always driven by dreams and designs. In 1949, Honda engineering made its debut with the release of the Dream D-type motorcycle. Since then, the Honda name has become synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and excitement.
