Following a year hiatus, the Honda Accord Hybrid is making a welcome return to the Delray Beach area. The redesigned model is better than ever, offering a long list of appealing upgrades. Learn more below!
Hybrid System, Body & Chassis Changes
The car's hybrid system has been enhanced to provide a slight boost in efficiency, as well as gains in horsepower. New EPA fuel economy estimates are 48 mpg combined (49 city/47 highway),* while horsepower is now up to 212 hp. Several body and chassis updates have taken place as well, giving the car sportier performance, while also reducing vibration and road noise. Highlights include the addition of new Amplitude Reactive Dampers, retuned electric power steering and a front subframe-reinforcing brace bar.
Improved Trunk Space
The battery is substantially smaller in size this year, which has helped free up more of the car's trunk space. While the Accord Hybrid offered best-in-class trunk room before, shoppers can now expect even more cargo space for their things.
New Cabin & Technology Highlights
The Honda Sensing package is now standard on every 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid model; the suite includes numerous driver-assist systems, which are listed below. Also, a new touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available for the first time. Plus, the car's cabin materials have been improved throughout the interior, providing a more upscale feel.
- Collision Mitigation Braking System
- Lane Departure Warning
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Keeping Assist System
- Road Departure Mitigation
- Adaptive Cruise Control
Updated Design
On the exterior, the hybrid has received a major facelift, so it's looking much more like the gas-only Honda Accord. The front fascia is more chiseled, LED fog lights are standard, and a contoured aluminum hood is included in the design. The rear fascia receives updates too, such as a sculpted bumper design and LED taillights.
