What's New For the 2020 Honda Odyssey?

Apart from the 10-speed automatic transmission now standard across the board, nothing has changed on the Honda Odyssey for the 2020 model year. The minivan continues to be a top pick due to its potent engine output and myriad safety and tech features.

Honda Odyssey has Five Trims & Countless Features for 2020

Five trims exist on the 2020 Honda Odyssey: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The minivan has three rows of seats, which seat up to seven people with the LX trim, and it has Active Noise Cancellation technology to keep the cabin quiet. Serving as the base-level trim, the LX has a front-row that consists of an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat and a 4-way power-adjustable passenger seat. Standard comfort and convenience features include cruise control, remote keyless entry, push-button engine start, hands-free wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, hands-free texting ability, a seven-speaker 160-watt stereo system, a USB port and an audio jack for connecting portable devices and a second USB port strictly for charging them, and a 5-inch color LCD screen. At the EX trim level and above, Honda replaces the pair of captain's seats on the LX trim with a bench-style seat for boosting maximum occupancy to eight people.

Also debuting at this trim level are features such as 12-way power adjustment and 4-way power lumbar support on the driver's seat, front-seat heating, smart entry as an improvement over remote keyless entry, remote engine start, tri-zone automatic climate control, HondaLink remote functions, an 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen in place of the 5-inch LCD one, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration, a trial subscription to SiriusXM radio, HD Radio technology, a third (and faster-charging) USB interface, and CabinControl to turn your smartphone into a remote control. The EX-L trim level welcomes leather seat trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, and a garage-door opener.

Added on the Touring are a built-in vacuum to keep the cabin clean (HondaVAC), an in-car PA system (CabinTalk), a rear-seat monitor (CabinWatch), a Wi-Fi hotspot, Honda Subscription Services (which comes with a one-year complimentary Security trial and a three-month complimentary Remote/Concierge trial), a rear entertainment system based on a 10.2-inch high-resolution screen and a Blu-Ray player, and a satellite-linked navigation system with voice recognition and Honda HD digital traffic. Only the Elite has front-seat ventilating, wireless phone charging, steering-wheel heating, and an 11-speaker 550-watt premium audio system (instead of the six-speaker setup).
