What's New For the 2020 Honda HR-V?
Honda went big on its upgrades in 2019 when they refreshed the exterior design, added two new trim levels (Sport and Touring), added Honda Sensing (advanced safety feature), and revamped their optional touch screen. However, in 2020, nothing significant has changed.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?
Honda offers five trim levels with its 2020 HR-V: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The LX comes with 17-inch silver-painted alloy wheels, a 5-inch color LCD screen, remote entry, and a 60/40 split 2nd-row Magic Seat, which gives you various seat-folding options to increase cargo space. Choosing the Sport trim gets you both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which will make your digital life and navigation safer and more accessible.
The Sport also comes with Sport Mode with Dual-Mode Paddle Shifters, Sport Pedals, available real-time AWD with Intelligent Control System, 18-inch alloy wheels, and fog lights to name only a few of its outstanding features. The next trim up, the EX, features the Honda Sensing Suite of Safety and Driver-Assistive technology, heated front seats, one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature, and Smart Entry with walk away Auto-Lock. It also comes with the Intelligent Control System for AWD versions.
The EX-L builds on the EX's features with leather-trimmed seats, automatic-dimming rearview mirror, 180-watt audio system with six speakers, and chrome speaker rings. Plus, it comes with 17-inch unique silver-painted alloy wheels. The top trim option is the Touring, which has AWD as a standard feature. Additionally, it comes with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, driver's seat with 8-way power adjustment, Homelink Remote System, body-colored underbody spoilers, and LED foglights.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
There's only one engine available for 2020 Honda HR-Vs: a 1.8-liter inline-four. It puts out 141 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 127 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm and is coupled with a CVT transmission. Depending on the trim, you can get between 27 and 28 mpg city and 31 and 34 mpg highway. Additionally, all-wheel-drive is available as an option on all models except for the Touring trim, where all-wheel-drive is standard.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
Honda certainly does not skimp on the safety features with the 2020 HR-V. It's got a whole host of traditional and advanced features such as driver and passenger front and side airbags and side curtain airbags, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), a multi-angle rearview camera, and ACE, which is Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure.Â
