Specs at a Glance

The Honda CR-V is a top-rated choice among small SUVs. This year's Honda has all the same features that consumers and critics agree have made it so appealing in the past, ranging from its exceptional power and performance to agile handling and a well-equipped interior. The Honda CR-V comes in multiple trim levels to provide different amenities, price points, and stylistic designs for everyone. There are four trims offered for the Honda CR-V in 2021. The base trim is the LX. Next, come the Special Edition, EX and EX-L, followed by the top Touring trim level. The LX has many amenities to provide a safe, entertaining, and connected ride, while the Touring adds some more luxury amenities to take your ride to the next level.

The LX and Touring trims have the same engine, as do the other trims in the 2021 lineup. They all get a turbo engine with quick acceleration from a four-cylinder configuration. The base engine has a 1.5L displacement. From this engine comes a top power output of about 200 HP and about 180 LB-FT in torque. An automatic transmission drives both the LX and Touring. Both have standard front-wheel drive but offer all-wheel drive as an alternative drivetrain.

There are some visual differences between the LX and the Touring that may influence your decision about which trim level to get. With the LX, you will get 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Touring upgrades to 19-inch alloy wheels. The Touring also comes with some additional conveniences, such as a hands-free power tailgate. Rain-sensing windshield wipers are included for safety. The Touring also has roof rails and LED headlights with an automatic on-off function. Chrome exhaust finishers give it an even more unique look.

The base LX trim has a five-inch display screen and automatic climate control. Cloth seats are standard, and there are many storage spaces throughout the cabin. A four-speaker audio system comes with this trim, and it's also equipped with the Honda Sensing safety package, which earns the CR-V top crash test ratings in government tests. The Touring has more safety aids, including blind-spot monitoring; it has a larger seven-inch display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A power-adjustable seat for the driver is included, along with heated seats and leather upholstery.
