2022 Honda Pilot

Although the Honda Pilot is an SUV that's already one of the most popular in its class, it gets a few updates in 2022 to make it even better. The base-level infotainment display is now upgraded to a larger screen with more features for a more user-friendly experience. LED headlights are now standard across the board to keep you safe no matter which trim you are driving and where you are headed.

One of the biggest changes for the 2022 model year impacts the base trim level, which is called the LX. This year, the LX joins the other Honda Pilot models by adding automatic LED headlights. Its interior upgrades from the five-inch touchscreen that was standard in 2021 to a larger eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The larger display and its amenities were previously standard, just on the second trim of the Pilot and up. For sound, the base model has a respectable stereo with seven speakers. It comes with a bundle of safety technology that includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane-keep assist. The second trim, which is the EX, gets an upgrade with even more amenities to enjoy. Heated side mirrors are added to the exterior to make driving in winter safer and easier. Another zone of climate control is added to the cabin. The EX has heated front seats, and the driver's seat is power-adjustable. The EX has more safety technology, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Following this trim is the EL-L, which adds more luxury items, including leather seats and a sunroof. It also has a convenient power liftgate and gets more USB ports in the back of the cabin. The Special Edition trim, which was added in 2021, has a hands-free liftgate and wireless device charging. Next in the line is the Touring, which has heated seats all around and an entertainment system in the back row. A 10-speaker sound system gives the Touring an even richer sound quality. On the outside, it gains roof rails for a bold exterior look, and it also has parking sensors in the front and rear to help you reverse and navigate more easily. The Elite provides a more open-air experience with a panoramic sunroof, and it has ventilated front seats for full climate control. Captain's chairs are standard to seat seven.

For power, the Honda Pilot uses a six-cylinder gasoline engine. Its power output reaches 280 HP, and you'll get 262 LB-FT for torque. All trims have a nine-speed transmission. Most trims have front-wheel drive except for the top, which has standard all-wheel drive.
