The nation’s best-selling SUV returns for the 2016 model year with an all-new Special Edition trim that adds spice to the lineup. Joining the CR-V LX, EX, EX-L and new-last-year Touring, the Special Edition (SE) model slots in just above the entry-level LX.

The CR-V’s new Special Edition builds on the LX’s equipment list, adding a security system, rear privacy glass and sleek 17-inch alloy wheels with an exclusive two-tone finish. SE is also offered with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive and comes equipped with the lineup’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder, which was revised last year to produce greater power and efficiency. The engine now achieves an impressive 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway/29 mpg combined with FWD and 25 mpg city/31 mpg highway/27 mpg combined with AWD, along with pumping out 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.

Previous CR-V models carryover with the same great comfort, entertainment and safety features, including an available Honda Sensing suite that comes with driver-assist technologies like Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking and more. Last year’s styling updates also stay in place, so shoppers can expect the same great appearance.

The 2016 Honda CR-V has arrived in Delray Beach, so head over soon for a test drive! For details about last year’s model, please read our 2015 Honda CR-V review.
