It was already one of America's most popular cars, now Honda aims to further entrench the legacy of Accord with added smartphone and safety technologies designed for the modern era. Additionally, Honda's designers thought the four-door was ready for a makeover, one that emphasized sportiness and sophistication, so you can expect the next edition to show off a sharper look, too.

STYLING HIGHLIGHTS
Exterior highlights of the 2016 Accord include a sharper, more intricate front fascia design, more aggressive rear styling and a new aluminum hood with more accentuated character lines. Additionally, there are restyled LED taillights and, in general, LED lights are used more abundantly in different light treatments (headlights, taillights, daytime running lights). On top of this, there are new wheel designs on all models, including large 19-inch wheels on the Sport and Touring sedan and new-this-year Touring coupe.

CONNECTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS
Accord comes with a new 7-inch Display Audio system featuring new technology for smartphone users. The system is included on EX and above trim levels and features voice controls, a high-resolution touch screen, and - the best part - access to mobile applications like Music, Maps, Messages and a wide range of third-party apps. All that's required is a compatible phone. In addition to phone benefits, the new audio system is available with HondaLink Assist (e911) and HD Radio. It's also where you can view turn-by-turn navigation and rearview camera footage.

SAFETY HIGHLIGHTS
New Honda Sensing technology will be available on all 2016 Accord coupes and sedans in Delray Beach. Honda Sensing includes an advanced suite of the latest driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist and Collision Mitigation Braking with Forward Collision Warning.

OTHER NEW FEATURES BY TRIM & BODY STYLE
Along with the aforementioned changes, EX and above sedans and coupes equipped with an automatic transmission offer remote engine start, SiriusXM satellite radio and Homelink remote. Sport and above sedans replace their previous one-piece folding rear seat design with a 60/40-split design. Additionally, the Touring sedan offers rain-sensing windshield wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and heated rear seats.

The 2016 Honda Accord is due to arrive in Delray Beach later this year.
