Both excelled in areas like safety, efficiency, cargo space and technology, aspects that family car shoppers often consider.

This is the second consecutive year that the Honda Accord has won in the family sedan segment and it's no surprise considering its Top Safety Pick+ title, five-star overall crash test ratings, efficient powertrains, reputation for reliability and innovative technologies, including a standard multi-view backup camera and optional LaneWatch display.
In its first year on the list, the 2014 Honda Odyssey was recognized for its spacious eight-passenger cabin and incredible EPA-estimated 28 mpg highway rating, which is the best in its class. Odyssey is also the only minivan to earn the title of Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS.
