Honda Rearview Camera System
Honda’s rearview camera system is the first recognized by the U.S. Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for meeting “Advanced Technology Feature” performance criteria. Enhancing rearward visibility is a key part of reducing backup accidents, so next year Santa can feel safer when putting his sleigh in reverse.
Honda Lane Departure Warning
Honda’s LDW system utilizes advanced camera technology that recognizes road markers - namely lane divisions. A vehicle equipped with Lane Departure Warning emits visual and audio warnings when the vehicle crosses out of a lane without engaging a turn signal, keeping drivers who doze off or lose concentration safe from drifting into oncoming traffic.
Honda Forward Collision Warning
FCW uses technology that can sense when a vehicle is in a car’s trajectory, and calculates the potential for a frontal accident based on factors like speed and distance. If the system detects a risk, it emits both audio and visual warnings to alert the driver.
