  • MPG is not as advertised

We bought the 2019 Hybrid Accord in December 2018. We have put 4000 miles on it in the past 3 months and have averaged 37mpg. Honda publicizes 48 mpg! That's a big difference. I am very annoyed about this because I saw other reviews that said people weren't getting the mpg advertised. Some people said they did get closer to the 48, but some people said they weren't. I asked our salesman who hadn't heard of anyone who didn't get the higher mpg. We live in a cold climate - PA - so I am not sure if it's weather related or not but the 37 mpg is over highway or city.
  • Gas mileage consumption very dissapointing

Our car is making incredibly 31.7 gas mileage consumption per gallon - AVERAGE - using the (ECO) economy mode. That's ridiculous. My wife and I drove the car in different situations - testing it - , two different drivers, starting new trips from zero, different places = same results. We bought the car 6 months ago. Driving on the highway, constantly 70mph, it was doing 29 mpg. They advirtised 47/47, hybrid. Well, good luck with that. My wife and I went to the dealership. Good luck with that too. After they sell the vehicle, forget it. Even though we were showing pictures and videos, they said that if nothing shows on the dashboard as a red light, they cannot do much. :( That's ridiculous. One of my friends is a mechanic, and he was explaining that this is a new model by Honda, which is a kind of prototype (not very reliable yet). Who knows. The only thing that I'm sure is that the engine in my car has a performance of 60% than actually advirtised. That's ridiculous. The car has very nice features, but the gas mileage was really disappointing.

Love the car, but averaging 38mpg’s in eco mode, driving on cruise, mostly freeway. mpg’s grossly over advertised.
