Eat, Drink and Dance: Real Men Bake & Rock at the Sock Hop

Saturday, April 22, 2017
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Fieldhouse at Old School Square

Help support the GFWC Woman’s Club of Delray Beach at their Real Men Bake & Rock event. Numerous local bakers have signed up to show off their culinary skills and you’re invited to come see what they whip up!

Visitors will get to sample over a dozen sweet and savory dishes from real men who bake, including Delray Beach Police Officer Steve Swanson, who won first prize last year. Also returning are City Commissioner Mitch Katz, Director of Community Improvement Michael Coleman and Ryan Lamb, executive director of the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League, who prepared over 100 chocolate rugalach last year.

In addition to enjoying plenty of delicious food and getting to cast votes for your favorite samples, you can also take part in silent and live auctions. Plus, Wild Bill & The Thrill are playing a live set of oldies music for the ‘50s-themed event.

To attend Real Men Bake & Rock at the Sock Hop, it’s just $35 in advance or $40 at the door. If you would like to get your tickets now or have inquiries about the event, please contact Joann Haros at (561) 843-6821 or
